Hi Guys,
I had been deferring the transition to gcc 10 for a long time now, having heard all the horror that came with it.
From your experience is it stable enough to give it a try?
Does it compile most of packages yet?
What are the possible remaining problems?
Thanks a lot for the clarity..

Sat Apr 25 22:03:07 2020 >>> sys-devel/gcc-9.3.0
merge time: 1 hour, 56 minutes and 50 seconds.

Fri May 8 21:47:57 2020 >>> sys-devel/gcc-10.1.0
merge time: 2 hours, 21 minutes and 3 seconds.

no problems so far. There were a few headaches at the start where the odd package wouldn't build but over the coming weeks they were bumped.

I think openjdk and icedtea are essentially the only packages not building with gcc:10 yet.

@mv: You're thinking big packages there, right?

Because these are still pending:

Well, non-exotic packages.

Apparently, I have not installed any of these.

Good to know, though I am not sure whether this also holds for icedtea.
