I am using bspwm+urxvt and I am getting some screen tearing when I close windows..I am using the intel modesetting driver...
Unfortunately, the modesetting driver does not have a "TearFree" option like the DDX driver does...
Do you recommend switching to the DDX driver to get rid of the tearing ?
I have heard that this tearing issue is a bug that is not yet fixed...is this true ? |

The tearing problem is supposed to be handled by your window manager. Doing it in the driver slows everything down, so it's off by default on intel and non-existent on modesetting. |
