Over half of the people living in slums in the Indian city of Mumbai have contracted the novel coronavirus, according to a city-commissioned study, which raised researchers' hopes of achieving herd immunity.

Blood tests on nearly 7,000 randomly selected people showed that 57% of slum residents had virus antibodies, according to the survey carried out on behalf of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (BMC). This was compared with 16% of non-slum inhabitants.

A few days ago I was talking about the new quarantine law, here, in Romania/EU.

- Forced quarantine even for asymptomatic people for at least 48 hours, in a hospital or other facility where chances are there will be for sure others infected with the same or a different virus, so good luck with never having a fake positive test, or else you'll probably be infected after 48 hours of detention in a place with other infected patients. After 48 hours a doctor can decide if you can go home, or isolate yourself at home, or being hospitalized.
- They dropped any references from the law regarding quarantining or destroying personal property that might be infected, but it was proposed that in the very first versions of the law, I've read it from the gov website. Again, the final law dropped those goods related paragraphs.
- One of the worst introduced was that doctors and medical personnel can be FORCED by law to work at any assigned location. I think it's for 30 days at most, but not sure about the exact duration.

Well, apart from forcing people in hospitals, and filling up almost any available hospital for no logical reason (there are already debates about special "locations" and assigning new "buildings" for that, which I will refer them as covid concentration camps), medical personnel don't agree with their forced months of slavery. Out of hundreds, only one agreed:

---------------------

"Hundreds of doctors and nurses, most from schools and kindergartens, seconded to order. Only one agreed to the transfer

On Tuesday and Wednesday, about 20 orders were issued signed by Secretary of State Raed Arafat for the transfer of hundreds of doctors and nurses, following requests from public health departments.
...
Only one resident epidemiologist of the third year gave his consent to be transferred for 30 days
..."

Spain lies in a way the Trump had proposed:
Madrid has 12 times less testing than Catalonia and Spain declares Catalonia the hotspot. But it is the capital Madrid where the most patients are hospitalized. Also Spain declared half of the real death toll of CoVid-19
(my source is in german language )

@flysideways
I tell you (how I told very often in this thread): Outdoors you cannot recieve enough virus in summer. But be careful in a hole, like an overcrowded stadium where the air is not floating. Compare the effect of virus intensity with what you can smell when there is a smoker!

No, it isn't settled. COVID-19 is a hoax
It hasn't spread because it exists only in our imagination. COVID-19 test is a hoax. People who allegedly died of COVID-19 died of other reasons such as car accident or heart attack or gunshot wounds.

Flu virus that alledgedly comes back every year is also a hoax. What occurs is not a virus infection but our body's attempt to remove toxic materials by coughing them and exuding them in snot.
Cold or flu is a human body's reaction to environmental toxicity. Many humans exhibit the same symptoms around the same time because their bodies react to temperatures and seasonal cues.

What has happened for more than 100 years is psychological warfare at global scale by rockefeller medicine empire and their allies. Rockefeller medicine empire controls what goes into medical textbooks which doctors are taught with.

The Invisible Rainbow: A History of Electricity and Life says every cold/flu/coronavirus outbreak can be explained by EMF which our body recognizes as environmental toxicity.
The reason that people link coronavirus with 5G is that 5G requires dense installations of 5G ground stations. More EMF leads to more flu-like symptoms among people. 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, AM radio stations, FM radio stations, solar magnetic activities, and all sorts of EMF sources can cause flu-like symptoms. Historically, peaks of solar magnetic activity also coincided with global influenza outbreaks which couldn't be explained by contagion because these global influenza outbreaks covered vast regions within days.

Specifically, 60Ghz waves cause lack of oxygen which is being mis-diagnosed as COVID-19. There are attempts to install 60Ghz wireless devices across many regions. 802.11ad WiFi routers emit 60Ghz waves. Many schools are trying to install 802.11ad WiFi routers in classrooms. Facebook also intends to install 60Ghz stations across cities.

A two and a half hours long video, more of a podcast but filmed, in which you can still see the semiotic of the speaker, which is very valuable in any dialogue. Various topics are touched. It's a trustworthy source and doesn't talk about politics.

Again, I'm aware it's a very long video, but has chapters and a table of contents in the video description.

So, after a long talk about philosophical issues Kellis tells about his PHD computer program to compare the genome of mice with that of cats - but now he analyzes with the same software the 30 genes of Sars-Cov-2. And he finds four of these genes are quickly evolving. You see, I just have seen half of this video .... but I know that attacking the stable genes would get the longer lasting vaccine. But the fast evolving genes might be the weak parts of Coronavirus ready for us to attack.

Here Kellis describes the beauty of Coronavirus from the perspective of a software engineer .

You say that in order to not look into my claims. No one else can do basic research for you.

Now, you get positive results for COVID-19 even if you aren't tested.

This one is true. I know of 4 people who went to get tested, left the site after they got tired of waiting, and received positive test results.
I don't think it's a conspiracy though (especially with this being Florida). It's just a coding bug. Kind of like those climate models that overshot the expected warming.

I see that you are a coincidence theorist. I'm a conspiracy theorist who is open to the possibility that many things are connected.

Wow! I'm going to let the flaming MAGAians defend that.

But seriously, what is the situation like in US on a normal day to day basis?

https://youtu.be/zaaTZkqsaxY the full interview, people are wondering if this was Alec Baldwin.

I think it varies quite a bit. In the California Bay Area, all the big tech companies are long-term work from home. Which is fine for people without kids. For the ones with kids, the schools/camps are either closed, at greatly reduced hours, or virtual. So people with kids are going crazy trying to handle work and childcare. Most people I know around here moved here from other places, so we don't have family to help with childcare. One interesting twist is that public schools are going to remote learning and reduced in-class hours, but private schools are sticking to full time in-person classes (because parents are paying them a lot of money to take their kids off their hands). So the divide between the "elites" who can keep doing their job while someone else takes care of their kids, and the rest is becoming more stark.

Most restaurants are doing outdoor dining now. Not surprisingly, many are closing, because I am sure they are getting a small fraction of the business they used to.

Everyone talks about bubbles or pods now.

The tech job economy is cratering around here. I expect that it is going to get much worse before it gets better. There is an interesting disparity here too. The big companies with huge bank accounts (Google, Facebook, Apple, etc.) are still hiring (although at an apparently reduced pace). The government contractors (Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, etc.) are still hiring too, likely because the government is pumping money into them. Everyone else is not hiring - smaller companies are struggling, going through layoffs, paycuts, etc. The outcome of this will likely be the that big companies emerge bigger and stronger, and the smaller companies will be dead or seriously wounded. Not a good outcome for innovation and entrepreneurship.

From my conversations with my family in Michigan, it doesn't seem like things are too different there. Same basic tradeoffs. My sister-in-law is a public school teacher, who will have to start teaching soon, but their son will only be able to go to public school for 3 hours a day, so I have no idea what they will do with him for the rest of time. They have family nearby, so perhaps they will get help from them.

For more rural places, I get the impression that life has changed less - just people wearing masks and less hugs and handshakes.

It varies, but the smart people mask voluntarily and social distance. Many places masking is mandatory. Number of positive cases daily continues to be very high though slightly reduced the last few days, very likely affected by hurricane and data glitches, which are magnified over the weekends.

Pushback against obeying any restrictions are wide, mostly among the far-right, always-Trumpers, and lowly educated but "freedom loving" (right-wing but don't know why).

Definitely not good. Just read yesterday that Varian, a very large medical company that makes radiation oncology systems, is going to be bought by Siemens. I'm not sure if this has been in the works for a while, or if it is response to the current crisis. If it is pandemic-recession based, than that is a pretty bad sign for the US - flagship bio-tech company bought by foreign competitor.
