I like these kind of experiments with squirrels. Really a worthwhile 20m time! This guy has 11Mio views for which he gets some thousand bugs I hope.

Clicked on to watch some fishing, not to watch some beta male challenging a girl to a bass off.

I was interested because I presumed it to not be fishing related. But then I saw the description.

The rat brain video was entertaining, although I wouldn't have thought an adult was that unaware of how capable squirrels are. Maybe he spent most of his life trapped in a city.

a. You both wouldn't get it.
b. If you had more patience, you'd have found out what this was about.

One reads numbers and deems movies unwatchable, other reads title of videos and deems them unwatchable.

Yeah. That was never the point, which I tried to clarify.

As an aside, I'm also not a fan of the generalized "call and response" approach to life, whether it be religion in a traditional church, or the online social media variety.

Weeks ago I linked a marvellous documentation about the sovjet GULAG system. But also this was on Youtube it was hidden for viewer outside Europe, because it was Public TV domain.

Now Youtube shows me a link to
Jordan B Peterson: 2017 Personality 13: Existentialism via Solzhenitsyn and the Gulag
where he emphatically praises this author and the meaning of the communist mass killings for the last century until 1980 Khambodia was occupied by the Vietnamese.

But as he phantastically tells all the history with all his energy, the video - in the mid of it - turns away from history and tells about genderism in university nowadays. I am not critically about his conclusions from history, but his style. He simply should have asked his students "What can we learn today from this?".

Or Peterson could have shown another author of the exact same period, but who was much longer hidden from the public view

Vasily Semyonovich Grossman :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_and_Fate

where he lets a Nazi KZ commander speak: "What do you Sovjets do different than we do. We do your work and the Communists do our work to be done"
In 1960 this acknowledgement was unthinkable in the Sovjet Union. Grossman died 4y later with cancer and his book was set to sleep for two decades in hidden places of friends.

I think he has some valid points. I don't believe Gentoo's ousting of its founder was a net positive. Also, the behavior he describes in which people of a community attack their own has prominent historical examples. It is not at all surprising to me that has happened to free, open source given some of the principles upon which it was founded.

The title is click bait, but it wasn't bad. It's name is "Space Command"

Most notable are Mira Furlan (Delenn, Babylon 5) and Robert Picardo (holo doc, Voyager). There are some others who are recognizable, or you might know from other work. The second part doesn't appear to be available yet.

The special effects were very apparent. The acting varied perhaps a bit too much. Some of that may have been due to the writing (I generally liked Furlan and Picardo, but others were a mixed bag).

I thought he looked familiar, but I don't think it was that. The 60s version of Lost in Space is the only other thing I know I have seen, so I'm guessing he reminds me of someone else.

That was great (balls).

Awesome literary reference.

(only thing they got wrong was the tennis - those are nothing like the serious tennis players that should be in the video)

It was also entertainingly current.

I'd be curious to hear a similar result for Lou Reed, then Reed with AC/DC. (I suspect it would underwhelm).

@e3k: They should try their hand at something of their own. They might get bigger budgets ;).

LED is replacing green screens in movie production.

Cool. I'm surprised they didn't comment on reflective surfaces or flicker when recording screens. 21 feet sounds tall for an LED panel, but I'm surprised that is enough for outdoor scenes.
