I'm using awesome windows manager, My kernel driver for my video card is up and running, I tried deactivating hardware acceleration and tweaking a little bit the setting with n luck so far.

I haven't been able to any threads about, probably because I'm not sure how to name it.

here is an lspci -k of my video card :

Code:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 520 (rev 07)
   Subsystem: Lenovo HD Graphics 520
   Kernel driver in use: i915

Thank you for your help.

I'm not sure if you can blame chrome. Do you have another box that you can shell in from and pipe your display to?

Does awesome use a compositor?

Can you start X by itself from the console with just chrome and reproduce the issue?
Code:
$ startx google-chrome

On the chance that it is Chrome (though I like russK's suggestions as a first step), please provide us standard details. Start with emerge --info --verbose www-client/google-chrome (adjust package name as needed).

I have my laptop connected to an external screen and I never tried before on my laptop, you right it is just my main display that is doing it.**

It is a lg flatron 22'' that I configured with Xorg as an extended display.

I don't use a compositor, and the bug seems to occur only with google chrome.

Code:
startx google-chrome-stable

Doesn't seem to yield any result.

**EDIT: Both of my display are doing it.

Check chrome://gpu, see what is hardware acelerated. Turning that off might help track the issue down to something specific.

After enabling " Override Software rendering list " in chrome://flags/ .

I don't seem to have any more issues.

In 2 days time if I don't encounter any problem I will flag the thread as solved.

Thank you very much for the help.
