thx, will look into it. Read something about crossdev but was not sure if this is the way I want to do it.

Final words here. I managed to get it working by using tdm-gcc and a windows only c file. Also using external dlls.

Hopefully in the long run WSL becomes a standard component of Windows and porting becomes unnecessary.
