Sakaki thanks for the reply.
1. so... since mmal works when called from a 32bit userland, can we talk about a multilib setup? Its most likely similar to what amd64 is doing, but now that I think about it, if mmal plagues ffmpeg, ffmpeg plagues pretty much the entire distro.
2. I didn't know the camera does h264 all on it's own, I thought it's a team effort from mmal, and raspivid. It's good to know though.
3. Now here is where you lost me. I'll look into it.
How is m2m compared to mmal? |

FYI, an RPi-engineer-authored PR for 64-bit MMAL userland (with the 64-to-32-bit pointer remapping etc.) is now available for test (https://github.com/raspberrypi/userland/pull/586). So hopefully this feature will be merged shortly. _________________ Regards,
